Teeling Whiskey is a brand that dates back to 1782, shaping the Irish Whiskey landscape through generations. The Teeling Whiskey Distillery is fully-operational and open to the public for tours, and the company came to us to create a modern website focussing on crafting an excellent user experience that delivered results.
The website’s primary objective was to convert visitors to book tickets for the distillery tour after educating them on the exciting opportunity of visiting the whiskey production in action. The secondary objectives were to increase online sales of Teeling Whiskey products, inform people about the location of the attractions, and generate email signups.
We needed to base our work on the established Teeling Whiskey brand material but were free to apply a fresh look and feel to the brand to help us achieve our goals.
By refreshing the Teeling brand and delivering a comprehensive technical overhaul of its digital presence, which included a custom front-end booking system connected to a backend API, we created an experience and website that was unmistakably modern while still reflecting the historic Teeling name.
The new website is a first-class experience across all devices, delivering a seamless and entertaining journey from the landing page to booking. The e-commerce website uses striking photography and video to engage visitors, optimises conversion, and expertly manages content with clean design. As a result, the experience is entertaining, educational, and equally powerful across all platforms.
Overall, we have helped to accurately advertise and promote an unmissable event in Ireland for domestic and visiting tourists.
We created a custom front-end with an intuitive UX/UI within WordPress and connected it to a backend API, which is an excellent solution for Teeling. The website is built on WooCommerce, a custom theme optimised for outstanding performance.
The core web vital performance score is 75+ on mobile and ~100 on desktop. Our complete QA checklist and testing tools helped us build a very reliable and resolute website. In addition, our WP management ensures that the site performs well over the long term.
