La Crema is a coffee and pastry shop in Malta that needed a digital presence that matched its brand, people, and delicious menu. We were given full creative control over extending the visual language of the brand, design, and development.
Telling the brand’s story and showcasing the talent of head chef Salvatore were essential parts of the project. Still, the central focus was to provide a beautiful and scalable e-commerce-ready platform on which La Crema’s delicious dishes could shine and one day sell directly from the site. The vision was to inspire emotions in the users to encourage them to want to taste the dishes and order.
We brought inspiration to the forefront of the website, showing how La Crema and Salvatore are inspired by the region’s rich heritage and culinary traditions. The website is fresh, fun, and future-proof to support its continued expansion.
Slick transitions, animations, and subtle movements add to the user experience, pleasantly and strategically drawing attention to the content. The copy is playful and also offers either breakfast, lunch, or evening dinner CTAs, depending on the time of day.
Technically speaking, the result is a blend of clean, simple, and modern UX design within a fully responsive website. In addition, we incorporated practical usability and robust functionality, ensuring scalability for future growth.
Aesthetically, the website brings everything great about La Crema centre stage. The fresh colour scheme and vibrant photography are complemented by playful copy that inspires people to visit the location or order online to treat themselves.

To achieve this, we identified the key factors that could affect mobile performance, including page loading time, device compatibility, and user experience, before thoroughly analyzing the design and enhancing the user experience.
